This 100-year old building was given to the Police & Fire Pension Fund by the city of Jacksonville in a considerable state of disrepair. The renovation of an historic building in the urban setting of downtown Jacksonville posed a number of challenges. Not only did the exterior facade have to be almost completely redone, the interior had to be demolished down to the bare concrete structure. All new building systems and finishes were installed, followed by a complete build out of the tenant offices. We maintained the original brick by regrouting and repainting the entire facade. Additionally, the Danis team had to deal with an unplanned lead abatement without any loss of schedule.
