Throughout this complicated and time sensitive project, Danis maintained excellent communication among the architect, owner and other prime contractors. Danis played a key role in working with the owner and design team to understand the challenges that arose and to develop strategies to move the project forward and stay on schedule.
The renovation for Founders Hall, a 400-bed first year residence, was originally scheduled to occur over two summers. With precise coordination and extensive planning prior to starting work, the renovation was completed over a 13-week time period in one summer. From day one, our team knew exactly what was required for a complex and fast-track project and what manpower they would need onsite not just on the first day, but a week out and beyond. As the first major upgrade since the residence hall opened in 1956, the newly-renovated co-ed residence hall includes updated bathrooms, a new elevator, a new lobby, individual heating & air conditioning units in each room, high-speed internet/cable TV/phone connectors, lounges, and laundry facilities.
